Accounts Payable Clerk

Suleim Consultancy, a renowned consultancy firm based in Doha, is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. This role requires a detail-oriented, efficient, and dependable individual to manage the company’s accounts payable processes. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and a background in accounting or finance. Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Processing: Review and process supplier invoices, ensuring they are accurate, complete, and in compliance with company policies.
  • Payment Processing: Prepare and process payments to suppliers and vendors in a timely manner, including checks, electronic transfers, and other payment methods.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded in the accounting system.
  • Vendor Management: Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies, handle inquiries, and maintain positive relationships.
  • Reconciliation: Assist in monthly reconciliation of accounts payable, ensuring all accounts are balanced and up-to-date.
  • Expense Reporting: Verify employee expense claims and ensure proper documentation and approvals are in place.
  • Documentation & Filing: Maintain organized and accessible records for all accounts payable transactions, including invoices, payments, and correspondence.
  • Reporting: Assist in generating reports related to accounts payable activities and assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations related to accounts payable processes.

Requirements:

  • Education: A degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies in financial documents.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with vendors, colleagues, and management.
  • Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other departments.
